There are some exercises that you can do anywhere. And though a lot of people want to avoid exercising during holidays, it is highly advised that they stick to some kind of relaxing schedule during the holidays. It is not necessary to avoid exercises when you are traveling because there is no gym. There are in fact amazing exercises available for which you don’t need any space restriction and can be done with ease

Walking

You don’t need to do anything here. All that you have to make sure is that you are doing your share of walking whenever possible instead of taking the car. Are you on a business travel and stuck up at the airport for a few hours. Well leave your baggage at the security counter and enjoy walking inside the airport. You can walk in the comfortable air conditioner and most airports are big enough to let you cover a good 30-40 minutes with ease. You can also try walking on holidays, when you head to the mall or even in the hotel corridor.

Up And Down The Stairs

This is a work out that can again be done anywhere thanks to easy access to stairs, which most people don’t want to use. It is surprising though that with such easy availability of exercise modes, you still find excuses for not exercising. What you should do is run up the stairs, try to cover at least 8-10 floors at one go. Then come down with ease. As you go up, the heart rate shoots up and when you gently come down, you get your share of active rest. As a result, you are able to workout in a good way. It tones the muscles, legs, thighs and even the abs.

Yoga

The wonders of yoga are not restricted to any space, time or even area. You can start doing yoga anywhere and everywhere. If you don’t have a mat, then you can do it in the grass, on the bed or even on a clean floor. You don’t have to bother with taking much with you. Yoga postures like sun salutations combined with other poses like cobra, bow pose, boat pose, warrior pose, etc. work out to be a great combination. They can be done using some cardio in between like jumping jacks or spot jogging. It is another great way to de-stress, exercise and of course make sure that you are getting your dose of daily health.

Like yoga, Pilates is an exercise form that again needs no real space constraints. You can start doing off Pilates even when you are sitting in the airplane by sucking your tummy in tightly and then releasing. In smallest of hotel rooms, Pilates postures like hundreds and back stretch, etc care performed with utmost ease. So don’t give excuses.

Awesomely favourable interval training can be done anywhere and in the shortest of time too. 20 minutes is all that you need to make sure that you are getting your body moving. Interval training should include a light 2-3 minute warm up of stretching hands, bending legs, etc. Then start off with the routine to include the entire body. Do 1 minute of jumping jacks, then rest and do a minute of planks. Repeat. Then move to spot jogging and do push ups for the same time. Now you can do this with all kinds of exercises to target different body areas, without worrying about space.

Who thought something as simple as skipping could be a saviour when you are worried about space. Skipping can be done using a rope or even without one. If you have a skipping rope then awesome, if you don’t, there’s not much to worry about. Start off with spot skipping using an imaginary rope. Remember to move your hands the same way that you do with regular rope. Now you can try doing regular skipping for 5 minutes then jump side to side for 5 minutes. Then you can shift to another five minutes of skip hops, which finishes your skipping circle and move on to either strength training or stretches.

Freehand Exercises

As the name suggests, freehand exercise can be done anywhere too. You can add whatever you want to do here, but use your body weight for the strength. Do some jumping, running, skipping, hopping and then follow with high kicks, push ups, planks and other exercise forms to get a quick 20 minute exercise boost.
