Workout can be fun when having a partner to accompany you and I think there can be no better partner than your spouse. Exercising together for a couple is good for motivating each other to get into the workout regime daily. It also helps to spend quality time with each other that strengthens the relation more than ever.
Here Are Some Of The Exercises That Couples Can Try Out Together To Have An Enjoyable Exercise Session
Stand together in a squatting position by facing back to back with each other. As you squat down together, try making a clockwise squat by squatting in a circle. Do the same for an anticlockwise squat. Repeat this for 10 times.
Biceps And Triceps Exercise
Stand facing each other. With the knees slightly bent hold the middle of a towel by placing the palms upright and make your partner hold the ends of the towel. You can also use a exercise band for this workout. Without bending the lifting the shoulders to the ears, tell your partner to relax his shoulders while you do a biceps curl. Do the same when your partner does a triceps curl. Repeat this workout for 15-20 times.
Lie flat on the stomach on a yoga mat facing your partner with stretched arms such that the arms overlap each other. By placing your hands on top of your partner’s shoulders, lift the head, chest, arms and legs and slowly paddle the arms and legs as you do while swimming. Do the paddling for at least 10 times in 3 rounds. The other partner should also repeat the same.
High Five In Push Up
Get down in push up position at an arm’s length distance from each other. While raising yourself in the push up position, give a high five to each other by keeping the arms at a 90 degree angle while doing so. Do this for at least 5 times.
Seated Twist With Ball
Sit on the ground facing each other with a slight bend in the knee but the heels touching the ground. Lean back to balance yourself on the tailbone. Now, move a gym ball right to left by only moving the arms back and forth. Make your partner do the same. Repeat this 3 times in 5 repetitions in the beginning.
Sit in the crunching position on the ground and keep the hands under the head or crossed around the chest. Lock the legs of each other and do a crunch by keeping the abs engaged. Do this for 10 times in 3 sets.
Sky Diving Pose
Lie on your belly by facing each other and arms extended and palms touching too. Keep the glutes squeezed and lift the chest and feet off the ground and look at each other. Stay in this pose for 30 seconds and lower yourself. Do this in 3-5 sets.
