Exercises To Tone Muscles Without Using Weights
Push Ups are one of the best body-weight exercises that tones your chest and other muscles such as triceps and shoulders. To start this exercise, you will need to lie down on the floor with your palms facing the floor and your legs extended back. Take shoulder’s width with your hands on the floor and keep your back straight throughout the exercise.
That will be your staring place. Begin to press yourself down by bending your elbows slowly, until your chest touches the floor and move back up, until your arms get extended. Do about 18 reps in 2 sets.
This exercise might sound easy but it becomes challenging when you do this for more time. There are many variations in planks like side planks and front planks. Planks normally works on abdominal muscles and it only involves simple body movement.
Take push up position on the floor, with shoulder’s width and toes supporting your body. Lower your arms such that elbows and hands touches the floor. That’s it, now hold your body like that for more than 30 seconds without tilting or sliding.
You can build triceps using this exercise and all you will need is a bench or chair. Place your hands at the edge of the bench taking shoulder’s width and extend your legs forward. Bend your legs at the waist, to make them perpendicular to the torso.
By bending your elbows, come down slowly just below 90 degree with your upper arms and forearms. Then use your triceps to bring your back up to first place. Repeat the same movement for 18 reps in 2 sets.
Best exercise to tone your lats and middle back, by using your own body weight. Hold the pull up bar and wider grip than shoulder’s width with your palms facing forward. Then slightly bend your torso a bit to create a curvature at your back and keep your chest out.
Now begin to push yourself up until your head comes up to the level of pull up bar. Hold there for a second and contract your back muscles. Then slowly lower yourself until your arms get extended and repeat the same for 12 reps in 2 sets.
One of the best exercise to strengthen your core and tone different muscles such as quadriceps and shoulder. Just like push ups, mountain climbers has the same body posture and it’s super effective. To begin, first lie on the floor with your palms facing the floor.
Extend your legs back and raise your waist little above the floor. Then push your right knee forward to the chest and pull back to bring the other knee front. Repeat the same movement for 20 reps in 2 sets.
