All these exercises should be done regularly and in the proper way for their effectiveness.

Best Breathing Exercises For Weight Loss

Shining the Skull Breathing

This is one of the most effective exercises for weight loss from belly. This exercise helps in strengthening stomach muscles and cures respiratory problems too. Start by sitting in a comfortable position. Inhale. Now, hold on to your stomach muscles in as much as you can as you slowly exhale. This will keep your tummy muscles in as you exhale. This should be done for at least 30 seconds. Get back to your normal breathing for 5 seconds and repeat the exercise again.

Alternate Nostril Breathing

Start by sitting cross-legged on a yoga mat. You can close your eyes and relax.

All your muscles will be relaxed.

You should press your right nostril using your right thumb. You will be breathing from your left nostril. Retain your breath as you count 5. Now, close your left nostril using your right hand ring finger and allow your right nostril to slowly exhale the air. You will again slowly inhale from your right nostril as your left nostril stays pressed. You will hold on to your breath for 5 counts. Release the air using your left nostril. This is one complete round. You need to complete a few more rounds. Remember to do this exercise early in the morning, before exercise.

Mouth Breathing

Breathing from the mouth works to pressurize abdominal muscles. It offers a refreshing and relaxed experience as one chooses to do this. This exercise is really effective in reducing belly fat. It also helps in reducing facial fat and tones the chin – it is the best exercise for those who suffer from problems of double chin. For this exercise, you can stand, lie or sit down in a comfortable position and breathing should be normal. You need to open your mouth and evenly breathe through your mouth. You will be inhaling and counting till 10. Exhalation will take more time. Thus, if you are inhaling for 2 seconds, you will be exhaling for 4 seconds at least.

However, do not over exert and do as much as possible for you. You should continue at least three times.

A great way to lose your belly fat in a short time. One of the most popular breathing exercises, Kapalbhati helps in toning down your muscles and helps in weight loss. You need to sit down keeping your legs crossed on a yoga mat. Your body will be straight and breathing should be normal when you start the exercise. You need to keep your spine elongated, your chin and neck will be up. You will then close your eyes and keep your hands just on knees. Be comfortable. Deeply inhale and exhale the air out forcefully as you are sniffing it away. Just as you sniff the air out, you will be able to feel your abdominal muscles pulling in which works towards fat loss. Increase this pace slowly and do this exercise for at least 10 minutes at a stretch.

This is one of the advanced breathing techniques and a good way to lose weight. This should be done only by experienced students or under the guidance of an expert. Start in a seated position. You will pull in your stomach totally. Feel the abdominal hollow and continue to exhale as you remain in this position. You will be moving your chin slowly towards your chest. Stay in this position for at least 15 seconds more or as much as you can. Relax as you breathe normally for some time. This will help in fat reduction in the belly area. It will also help your metabolism and digestion.

An exercise which causes rapid calorie burn in just a few days of practice. Start by placing a pillow on ground. You will kneel down on this pillow. This is a safety measure so that you do not injure yourself as you exercise. Relax, feel comfortable and keep your eyes closed. Start counting 10 and begin breathing. You should exhale and start counting till 5. You will feel an emptiness in the stomach which means you are doing the exercise correctly.
